She should have known. No one comes to Hollow Bastion out of their own free will. They come with empty hands and grieving hearts. They come from worlds remembered, but lost.
It was a silly question to ask.

Was it sad, to have a family and then lose it? Naminé did not know and was not truly sure. Never having a family before did not lend her knowledge in that subject, and none of the memories in her head included truly losing a family in such a way. But she imagined it would be sad anyways.
It must be, right?
”Oh, no, I couldn’t possibly intrude…” there was a sense of déjà vu. Of course, this was also how she tried to deny the jacket but—she couldn’t intrude upon a celebration between close friends.
”You should spend the holidays with those close to you.”
