Send ♕ for a CHILDHOOD headcanon.

To begin with, in canon verse, Naminé didn’t have a childhood to begin with. She was created, and the childhood that she crafted to replace Kairi in Sora’s was entirely false. But because I want to answer this anyways, I’ll answer this in terms of the modern AU verse that I have for her.

Her childhood was a relatively simple and happy one. From birth she had been introverted and shy, and was not very sociable—secret abilities aside. Naminé’s ability to manipulate memories was known by her parents and even somewhat encouraged by them, at least for her to master and control properly. She had never agreed with her parents though, not that she would ever admit that aloud, and oftentimes she would try to forget that she had special abilities, even though they tried to press against all sides of her all at once, sometimes.

Nonetheless, she had a happy enough childhood until her later on incident that she would later forget for much of her life. It was spent as most children spent their childhoods, just somewhat lonelier—something that she had chosen for herself early on, and was happy with.

Send ϡ for a MENTAL STATE headcanon.

Most of the time it’s hard to say whether or not Naminé is in a solid mental state. In a modern context she would likely suffer from PTSD to some degree, and also a measure of anxiety and oftentimes has an inability to cope with certain situations, and also fears that would oftentimes seem ridiculous to others. Take that into consideration with her mild phobia of going beyond the boundaries that had been defined for her without her consent and her extreme guilt complex and inability to forgive herself or see things in perspective, most “normal” people would find her mentally unstable due to stigmas.

But the rest of the time, she has a good enough mental state to be able to stabilize herself and she can manage most situations without crumbling completely. And as of late, through recent developments, she has started to gain something more of a positive mental state, but it’s hard to tell if this will continue for her.
