Send me “Come and dance” for my muses reaction to yours taking their hands and pulling them onto the dance floor.
Parties were weird. Or not weird necessarily, but certainly rather loud and crowded—at least the one she was standing in was. It wasn’t that she dislike the congestion of people or the blare of music (though she really, really didn’t) it was just that she didn’t find it… enjoyable.
People really were absolutely everywhere. Sprawled across surfaces, lying down and sitting up, dancing and leaning against walls, bumping into each other with loud laughter and bright smiles—or burning eyes. The fact that she had managed a space against the wall was amazing, and probably only because she was so small that it was easy to slip between people.
Breathing wasn’t much of an option, or at least breathing easily, and Naminé wondered if she could just leave, or leave soon. Problem was that she really had just gotten there, and some people had said hello to her and she felt that it would be rude to leave so soon… maybe it would be less rude if she left in five minutes. Then again it wasn’t like anyone would notice if she left, she was only one person out of probably hundreds, and her presence was small enough that it wouldn’t make much of an impact whether she was there or not.
Sadly, good manners won out and she resigned herself to standing there uncomfortably for a few more minutes, glancing around at the faces that seemed to blur together, one of her hands clutching to her wrist. Alright, maybe she had been exaggerating and it wasn’t truly that bad, but it was still something that was ultimately uncomfortable for her, though really she should at least be trying to make an effort to speak to others—
When someone suddenly grabbed her wrist her thought process was stopped.

Looking up in surprise her eyebrows rose as she saw Ruby standing there with a wide smile on her face as the young woman tried to tug her out onto where a vague dance floor was. ”W-Wait, Ruby—!” Really her attempt to stop the black and red haired girl was feeble at best, because she just let out a laugh and pulled a little harder, pivoting on her heel to whirl Naminé around.
”Come and dance!”
Honestly a large part of her didn’t want to, found it exhausting, the idea of standing there and swaying awkwardly because she definitely had no idea how to dance. But Ruby just looked so excited and joyous and eager for her to have some fun, and she didn’t have the heart to say no, so instead she just smiled weakly and nodded in ascension, slipping her hand into her friend’s so the grip was more secure.
”Lead the way.”
