there was no doubt that he was incredibly angry. getting hit in the crotch with a heavy bag in the evening wasn’t exactly on his itinerary, neither did he plan on getting woken up from his lovely nap. some kind of commotion was taking place, and it was loud enough to disturb him and his ‘beauty rest’ so to speak. he wasn’t impressed. he simply stares at her, hands clenched, jaw taut as he tries his hardest not to cut loose and start lacing into her with everything he had.
❝ what. the. hell. ❞
he growls, unfriendly and enraged as hell.
❝ — was that for? ❞
it was probably his fault to begin with— he was supposed to be seeing what was going on and observing everything around him. what he did was a pretty stupid thing— he didn’t even notice her there until now. she could’ve shanked him and he wouldn’t have seen it coming. knowing rin, he’d pin everything on her to ensure he was completely blame-free. back to the matter at hand… his home was a few houses away, and whatever took place must’ve quickly moved to another location. it was loud enough to wake him, and he left to investigate— fair enough, he had a reason to be out of his home. but her? crouching where she was? what was up with that?
❝ come to think of it, the hell’re you doing? you look suspicious. ❞
he was only speaking the truth— she looked hella suspicious, and with a bag that heavy… she probably had all kinds of weapons in there. maybe she was an assa—
that’s just stupid.
❝ nnngh… ❞
a man can only ignore his pain for so long, before he fell to his knees and placed his hands in front of his crotch.
takes a real man to admit defeat.
— or so he tells himself.
Anatomy was not something that the Nobody was well versed in—what was the point, anyways? Basic biology was something to know but she did not necessarily need to know about the intricate functions of the human body, how muscles worked and moved and flexed, and she needed a little bit more than simply traversing worlds to learn of such a thing. The old mansion had no actual books on anatomy, though there were books about other sciences, but in spite of her lack of knowledge about a standard human body she did know a few things.
All humans had organs and limbs. Lungs aided breathing. Men did not appreciate being hit in the groin.
The last thing was really only common sense, but she had also seen Larxene practically punting Axel at least once in Castle Oblivion—or attempting to while the later avoided it as often as possible. But really and truly she did know that much, though she hadn’t been completely aware of where she had hit the man when she turned around and apologized, and slowly inched away from him and his clearly angered expression. Such anger was palpable in the air and she stared at the man wide eyed, unsure if she should be afraid or concerned for her own wellbeing, yet her brain really only registered the fact that the redhead had rather sharp teeth.
Really she had never seen such sharp teeth on anyone and her head tilted before looking at the man properly again and shrinking into herself because yes, those were the eyes of an enraged man. ”It really was just an accident, I was trying to hide from—“ she began, voice starting to go a little high and frantic because while there was the impulse not to say a thing clearly that wouldn’t get her very far in this case because it didn’t appear that this guy was going to stop talking any time soon. But then she stopped, because the man was falling to his knees and covering his—
Oh.
Basic anatomy.
”——I’m so sorry!”
Quickly she crouched down in front of the man, hands moving towards him before faltering and then hovering there awkwardly as she internally fretted. Honestly it was probably the best time for her to run and avoid being shouted at angrily by this man whose name she did not even know, but it didn’t seem proper to just run. Running meant that she couldn’t apologize properly and that she would leave this man in pain, which wasn’t acceptable in the end. Perhaps she shouldn’t have put so many art supplies in there that day…
