All familiarity was lost to him as he looked upon the newcomers, one brow arched in question as he does so. Civilians were seldom allowed into the military headquarters of Malkuth; the only conditions authorizing such a thing being questioning, or those that could be considered “extreme”. These people were not criminals, as far as the colonel could tell — nor did they appear to be in immediate danger.
Yet, all the same, they had been escorted into his office; and with an explanation that practically nothing.
Not that it particularly mattered. After all, he’d been able to discern it immediately —
“— You’re obviously not of Malkuth origin. That being said, perhaps you’d like to tell me what it is you’re here for.” It was phrased like a suggestion, but his tone made it sound more like a command.
Portaling into military headquarters was not a good idea—that was something that she would have to keep in mind in the future. Even if it wasn’t really her fault, because she had no idea where she was actually going to end up. Never did, unless she was familiar with the world enough to pick out a specific place, and it really was just dumb luck that she ended up there and then being escorted within minutes into an office.
Dreadful, really, and she couldn’t help twitching slightly underneath the cool gaze of the man who was in there. He practically radiated authority and Naminé knew that she had just been led into his office, which meant that she was probably some level of suspicious, even if she did not seem threatening. And yes, she knew that she did not appear threatening.
”I’m sorry, I—“

There wasn’t really a way for her to explain how she had gotten there. Into military headquarters that, as far as she could tell from the brief time she had been there, civilians did not wander into particularly often. Or even ever, and she fidgeted minutely.
”Ended up here accidentally.”
