Synced with the cat, she turned her head to look at the source of the voice. A female the brunette definitely had not seen before; a momentary pause before a reply, “Uh, no I think I can handle this!“ She says but with eyes off the four-legged creature, it made it’s escape, leaving her in a slight state of panic.
”Wh-Hey, no come ba—” just as she applied more pressure onto her arms when leaning forward, the branch began to snap from the weight. The color on her face were drained instantly as gravity pulled her down along with the branch. “—aaaaaaaaaaaaack!?”
A loud thump was emitted as she fell on her back. Letting out a loud groan as she rubbed the back of her head. “I guess I did need help…”
Gasping when she heard the branch crack and saw it fall the blonde dashed forwards as it collided with the ground, pausing only for a moment to watch the cat get away unscathed, darting in the opposite direction. The cat was alright, which meant that she could focus on the young woman who fell from the tree.
Kneeling beside the girl quickly she leaned back slightly as she sat up, rubbing the back of her head. Generally she looked unscathed, except for some scratches, smears of dirt, and the fact that it looked like she had hurt her head.
”Are you okay?
I’m sorry that I distracted you—
And that your cat got away…”
Alright so maybe she shouldn’t have interfered—it probably would have gone more smoothly if she had simply said nothing at all. Too late to take that back though.
