—A road of which he frequently traveled, familiar paths and well-recognized routes something both he and his metal stead had ventured across numerous times; roaring motorcycle typically adorned with the weight of parcels and packages and supplies that its rider was constantly tasked in delivering. The services clients typically tended to return in order to become regular customers, demanding work from him that he would tend to welcome; a kind of potential freedom that came with escaping the invisible walls of Edge and the destruction that still rested by its boarder.
His work was his life now, it seemed. An explorer through and through, the opportunity of travel whilst earning a worthwhile wage was something he found himself grateful for— and while Cloud had never been the most social of figures, the routes he took had become so commonplace that even the people and villages he passed were a constant that he could appreciate encountering.
However, that did not necessarily mean such familiarities were infinite.
Every now and then he would come upon the odd unexpected irregularity. A monster here and there, an unfortunate road block, displeasing weather that would halt his progress. Numerous things that would tend to make each delivery run that bit more interesting, and as of such he spent little effort in working around said inconveniences. They were just another part of life that he gradually became accustomed to— bumps in the road, nothing more.
Of course, that did not mean he was well versed in every potential oddity.
Hence the slight surprise that flared to life the moment a child was spotted alone on the side of the road he just so happened to be travelling on. Now; that in itself was not particularly strange - although those who tended to wander alone were of greater year than the youngster in question - instead it was the place she stood by, appearing very much as though she’d recently ventured through the thick woods.
Very few travelers made it through the Sleeping Forest without losing their way and succumbing to madness.
Thus it was inevitable that the blond pull Fenrir to a halt beside the girl, goggles deftly lifted from his face and up into the security of messy bangs; luminescent gaze instantly targeted her way before flicking back towards the forest; glance tainted with a noticeable hint of caution.
❝—You okay?❞
A pause as the man lent back in his seated position, mako blues returning to her face whilst the machine he remained perched on continued its rumbling; a sure sign that he was not yet prepared to grant the motorcycle its rest.
❝This isn’t the safest of places t’be wandering about, you know.❞
To be alone on such a road was not to come to pass as she could hear the sound of an engine approaching from not too far away and for a moment the blonde considered just starting to walk and paying it no mind. Chances were that the person approaching would not pay much mind to her nor even stop for her, if they noticed her to begin with, so it wouldn’t be as if she were running away. There was also a chance that they could be hostile, as she did not know a single thing about the world that she had happened upon, and with that thought she spared a glance to the forest that she had just made her way out of, but that didn’t seem necessary. If she really had to, she could run in there if the person or thing was hostile.
All the same, simply waiting around for the person who was approaching to actually reach her seemed to be pointless in every way and she turned on her heel to start down the road in the opposite direction that the sound of the engine was coming from. If the person was heading in that direction then, surely, that had to lead one place or another, so it was probably the best idea to head in that direction. Then again the person could have just been leaving someplace… that could be thought about later, if she didn’t reach any certain place within the hour.
Behind her the sound of the engine was growing louder and louder and louder and she did not allow herself to glance back though she had the urge to, instead continuing onwards. Looking back would draw attention—though apparently her simply watching already drew enough attention as she could hear the engine starting to slow down and she paused at that, turning around part of the way and gazing back. A motorcycle, a rather large and sleek one at that, and there was a man on it—a blond man. Certainly no one she had ever met or seen, but then again it was her first time in that world and if she had recognized him that would be odd. Inanely the first thought that occurred to her was—
Shouldn’t he be wearing a helmet…?

Silently she watched him as he lifted his goggles and the Nobody was unsure whether or not to be apprehensive about his presence, about the fact that he had noticed her and stopped and questioned if she was okay. Eyes flickered from his face back to his motorcycle and she took into account that he had not turned off the engine, which meant that he was definitely ready to take off again at any given moment. Not exactly a mixed signal, he could have simply been stopping just to make sure she wasn’t dying on the side of the road, which was a logical thing for a kind person to do, but she still took it into account before looking at his face again and pulling a faint smile to her face. Really it was for little more than reassurance, something to say that yes she was alright to accompany her words.
”I’m okay,” was how she responded, a boring response that got her point across well enough because there wasn’t really a need to elaborate upon that. And she really was okay, fine walking along the side of the road with her bag against her hip. ”I just got a little lost.” For a moment she cast her gaze around, wondering just how unsafe the area was. If there were potential enemies around then that could be trouble for her, later on.
