Send “Little thing” and my character will tell you something as a child.
No one around was in the least bit familiar to her—they were all blurs of faces that she could not comprehend nor see and she did not understand a single thing of what was happening in her immediate surroundings. Frightened and small she looked around with wide periwinkle eyes and tugged at the tips of her hair, a habit that she had been trying to break but was failing to.
Strangers were not to be spoken to but—
There was no other choice and she looked around, spinning in place.

Finally her eyes latched onto a man that stood taller than her, not taller than anyone she had ever seen but certainly very tall indeed and she started to shuffle over towards him. Stumbling when she was nearly knocked over she righted herself, trying to smooth out the fabric of her dress with trembling fingers. There was no hope in relaxing her shoulders, so knotted and tight and tense they were, and she staggered the rest of the way to the man.
Back turned to her she could only see his long black hair that looked feathery that she, really honestly, wanted to reach up and touch. But there was no way that she could possibly reach that high, so instead she reached out and curled her fingers into the fabric of his pants and tugged on them gently, trying to get his attention. Staggering backwards with a small noise of distress as the man whirled about and looked from side to side before looking down she gazed up at him with wide eyes that showcased her panic and fright to the entire universe.
”E-Excuse me…”
Evidently she had chosen well, or at least she hoped. The man looked kind and gentle with his black hair and bright blue eyes that looked unreal and she wished in that moment that she had paper and crayons to draw him. Alas she did not, and he was dropping down to one knee to look at her in the eye properly and he was asking if she was alright and in that moment she thought of him as her hero. A great and strong and brave hero—
A knight in black armor.

Some of her fear slowly, carefully, ebbed away from her and made everything just that much less scary but still her hands clasped together tightly in front of her and she dropped her gaze from his bright blue eyes to the ground and dragged the sole of her shoe against the ground once. Hardly the time to be shy but he was looking her in the eye with a concerned expression and she couldn’t help but feel bashful—what if she had interrupted something important? In the blur of faces though, his was the only one that stood out as kind and heroic and she had to get back home somehow, someway, before she was lost forever.
”I-I’m lost… can you help me? Please?”
