"I’m not accusing anyone..." He rolled his eyes, obviously fibbing in such a statement, "I’m just saying it looks suspicious."
Send me one of the following (bruised and battered version):

Anyone who knew Ace at least slightly knew that, by nature, he tended to be a rather suspicious person in general. And he also had his protective moments—a lesser known fact, perhaps, but no less true than the first one because he certainly had times when he expressed a rather high amount of protective feelings towards her. Generally it would be at the most random times, and oftentimes even uncalled for in its randomness, but she supposed that she could forgive his high level of suspicion just this once. It really did look rather bad, though she was trying her best to downplay it.

After all, a rather vivid bruise on the side of her face wasn’t exactly normal.

But really it hadn’t actually been anything bad, and she had tried to avoid seeing him until she was sure that it was gone to avoid such a reaction, but evidently her subconscious had wanted to see him more than she had known. A portal had taken her practically right to him in an unwitting show of what she supposed her abilities thought of as irony. Sometimes it seemed that her powers had a mind of their own entirely, which really was a rather concerning thought.

Onto the situation at hand, however, she sighed and glanced down at the potion that had been placed in front of her that she hadn’t touched just yet. Because really, it wasn’t necessary, it was just a bruise that would surely heal up in the next few days, and didn’t garner the need for a potion. Worse things had happened to her, and to be fair it probably wasn’t as bad as it appeared. Against her pale complexion the purple and the black probably looked rather horrible, though that was nothing compared to the headache that she got thinking about how she had gotten hurt.

To be fair she was not a clumsy person by nature. In fact she was rather docile, and never actually tripped over anything or fell over much at all, but everyone had their… days, so to speak. And really it wasn’t that much of a surprise that she had hurt herself accidentally, considering that she was probably long overdue for some sort of injury—everyone got hurt sometimes, but the way that she had gotten hurt was… embarrassing.

After all, not everyone tripped over their own bag.

And… slammed the side of their head into a table.

Wincing at the memory she glanced at her friend once more and partially withered under his stare, before giving in and picking up the bottle, plucking out the stopper and taking a tiny little sip of the liquid. Both of them knew that he was accusing someone, though who neither of them knew for sure—after all, it wasn’t like he had a list of people that she came into contact with. And none of the people she saw would generally hit her unless it was an accident… the blond young man was overreacting, really.

”I just fell on accident Ace—

                                                                        ”I’m fine, really.”
